"…to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." Isaiah 42:7

This issue has always been seen as a

third world problem, but IT IS NOT!

It is rampant right here in the USA!!

The equivalent of 35 Double Decker bus loads of men, women and children are trafficked every day in the U.S and abroad.  According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Trafficking is enslaving a victim into forced sexual servitude and forced labor.

  • Human trafficking is the second most profitable criminal industry after drug trafficking.

  • Human trafficking is a global phenomenon that is fueled by poverty and gender discrimination.

  • During their bondage, a victim will be raped an average of 6,000 times.

  • Their odds of rescue are 1/100.

If by miracle these victims are released from their own personal living hell on earth, they will continue to relive, in their minds, the trauma that was inflicted upon them over and over again. The chance of them integrating back into a normal life is next to impossible without professional help.

Generally speaking, safe homes across the country that are working to help restore survivors, of human trafficking, have no common approach or curriculum to use. Many use outside counselors who have their own approaches, and other survivor-lead safe homes and programs have developed their own curriculum based upon their own healing journey.

Julie see it as urgent and imperative that a nationwide Christian curriculum be developed for mass use by counselors, safe homes, and any Christian organization working to help restore survivors in their care. Key to this is certainly the development of a results-based program, but also the distribution and training of counselors across the country who are in need of a successful Christ-centered approach to lead the survivors through their healing journey.

Julie’s first-hand trauma experiences, is why she is so passionate about all her projects and the forgotten women, men and children.

As a survivor of numerous traumatic circumstances, Julie's story has been aired on various radio programs including:

  • Of Faith and Family with Dr. Richard Land

  • Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson

  • Unshackled by Pacific Garden Missions

  • And many other radio broadcasts including Moody Radio, as well as the 700 club and Life Today.

Julie draws from personal experiences and the healing she has found in Christ to share hope and healing with other victims of trauma.

Julie wants to create a unique DVD and Curriculum Series, Shattered & Restored, that will specifically help heal the scars of Human Trafficking trauma. This project will help those cope with their trauma and allow God’s healing from the torment that they experienced. There are a few projects that are currently being used by the victims. However, the people that run the safe homes and the counselors that work with them are asking Julie to create a project that is very relatable to the victims of human trafficking. They are asking for something in a DVD form (for those who can’t read) and that could be adapted to different cultures.

The curriculum will be based on the In the Wildflowers Steps (In the Wildflowers Program is for women and men that have been sexually abused). We probably will adapt it as we see fit. The miracles of healing from the In the Wildflowers Program have been incredible both nationwide and internationally. The stronghold of shame is even deeper for those who have been sexually abused and trafficked. We often believe the abuse marks us for life; that it is our identity, who we are. We feel different from others; the abuse is very isolating.

Your investment will allow, Julie, to team up with other global organizations who help human trafficking victims, but do not have the resources or programs to be able to counsel and share the healing love of God with these victims.

Total cost for this project is approximately $260,000 to:

  1.  Coordinate, write, and create the curriculum

  2. Film and edit the stories for the Film
