Recommendations for participants who go through the Wildflowers program:
We strongly recommend that any person who wants to join a Wildflowers group:
- Be screened by a professional counselor before entering the group.
- Meet weekly with a professional counselor.
- Read and sign the commitment form before attending the Wildflowers group.
- Journal about her path to healing.
- Be intentional about completing the weekly homework—the healing process will be more beneficial as the participant reflects on the questions.
Recommendations for facilitators who run the Wildflowers program:
We would strongly recommend that each facilitator attend a Wildflowers training.
The purpose of the Wildflowers training is to:
- Help give you the confidence to successfully facilitate a Wildflower group
- Help you see the project “first hand” so you can learn how to work with others involved in the group
- Help you learn how to direct others and co-facilitate with those who would like to lead a Wildflowers group
- Provide a “safe place” for you to heal from unresolved issues that may be triggered through the intensity of this project
If the facilitator is not a professional counselor we strongly recommend seeking supervision from a qualified professional counselor. We would strongly recommend that each facilitator be intentional about her own healing as she facilitates the group.
You can find a Wildflowers training near you by visiting our training calendar.
